Yes! As copywriters, we didn’t sign up to be social media pros or influencers, so I totally get the apprehension.

Truth is - I didn’t make one original post on LinkedIn while building my copywriting business. I teach the same approach in my course. If you want to be as active as possible on LinkedIn, more power to you! But don’t think you’ll have to do anything that’s not aligned with your personality. 

For my more introverted students, please know that you can rely on direct messages, liking, commenting, and sharing to drive engagement and land clients.

You do not need to post original content or blog or anything that involves “putting yourself out there in a very public way. 

I didn’t take that approach so I know it’s possible to succeed without it.

Is there a time commitment required when using LinkedIn? Of course. You’ll spend most of your time on LinkedIn searching for clients, messaging them, and organically engaging on relevant posts. Doing this for 1-2 hours per day will be sufficient. 

But just like anything, the more time you invest, the faster and better results you’ll get.

If English isn't your first language or you are not fluent, you can still take the course but you should be realistic about the 30 day goal of landing a high-paying client. It may take you a bit longer to achieve results.

If you enroll in this course, you'll probably need to put in extra work to build a rock-solid portfolio with high-quality writing samples. You may even need to hire someone to proofread your website and portfolio.

When a client reads your writing samples (or any words you write at all) they are judging you on your writing abilities.

If you have errors or your writing doesn't flow naturally, these will be red flags for prospective clients.

I had no experience building a website when I became a copywriter. I chose the easiest, cheapest site builder (Weebly) and figured it out in about a week. Building a website now is a matter of drag-and-drop, not javascript and HTML. 

I briefly cover the tech aspects of using a drag-and-drop site builder, but it’s not that difficult.

Just about anyone can build their own website nowadays.
